What’s the Opportunity

We are seeking to recruit a Senior iOS Engineer who is up-to-date with developing modern native applications and has a passion for building phenomenal iOS experiences.

Our team is always looking at what is the next step forward in the mobile world and are already targeting iOS 14+, using SwiftUI in production, utilising Swift Package Manager as well as using Xcode Cloud. The successful candidate will be eager to learn and explore emerging frameworks and how they can help build and enhance app development.

This is more than a technical role, you will contribute to the overall product development effort. You’ll use your experience to inform our engineering process and decisions when building new features.

This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will have a passion for building chart-topping mobile experiences and will thrive in a fun, fast paced and challenging environment

What will I be doing

  • Building and maintaining features across our apps (DoneDeal, Daft & Adverts)

  • Ensuring the codebase is clean, scalable and tested

  • Working with other iOS and Android Engineers as part of an Agile team

  • Collaborating with our product, quality and design teams

  • Keeping up-to-date with new technologies and techniques within iOS development.

Job requirements

What skills and experience do I need

  • Minimum of 5 years iOS development experience

  • Highly proficient in Swift

  • Comprehensive expertise with UIKit and the iOS SDK (RxSwift or SwiftUI experience is a bonus)

  • Extensive experience with modern mobile architectures (MVVM, MVP etc)

  • Extensive experience in writing robust unit tests and maintaining high code quality.

  • In-depth knowledge of integrating with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with Source Control (Git)

  • Experience with CI/CD

  • Excellent social, teamwork and collaboration skills
