We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and systems.

You'll leverage your expertise to resolve complex technical challenges, contribute to strategic IT initiatives, and work with a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies that drive our company's success. Location: This role requires working from our Dublin office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.

What will I be doing

As an IT Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum of technical operations, focused on delivering robust and reliable IT services:

  • IT Support & Service Delivery: Provide comprehensive remote and onsite IT support via the ticketing system for approximately 170 employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues, and managing equipment procurement.

  • Infrastructure Administration: Administer, monitor, and optimize critical IT infrastructure, including networking, video conferencing, and AV systems, ensuring performance, security, and high availability. Manage and secure remote devices.

  • Identity & Access Management: Manage user accounts and permissions within Okta/Active Directory, encompassing security policy and MFA administration. Optimize the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Operational Excellence & Documentation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for IT operations. Create and maintain comprehensive IT documentation. Co-manage IT asset inventory and refine escalation processes.

  • Project Contribution & Event Support: Contribute to the planning and implementation phases of IT projects. Provide technical support for company-wide initiatives and events.

Job requirements

What skills and experience do I need

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an IT Operations or System Administration role.

  • In-depth administration and troubleshooting experience with MacOS and Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment.

  • Proven expertise in administering and supporting Google Workspace or Office 365 

  • Hands-on experience with administering Cloud Computing platforms (AWS/Azure), including IaaS and PaaS components.

  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level Video Conferencing systems.

  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Networking concepts (VPNs, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, VLANs, routing, switching).

  • Strong experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for Windows (e.g., Intune, SCCM) ,MacOS (e.g., Jamf Pro), Android and iOS

  • Experience with Identity Management platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD Identity Protection, SSO integration).

  • Problem-Solving & Technical Management

  • Strong organizational , Interpersonal & Communication Skills

  • Proactivity & Adaptability

Advantage if you have:

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and system administration.

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and incident response.
